The Quality Enhancement Cell of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has started 24 days teacher training program for University and college teachers in collaboration with Learning & Innovation Division, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan on December 19, 2013. Dr. Qasim (Director QEC) welcomed the distinguished participants. Deputy Director QEC Mr. Shah Hussain Awan (Course Coordinator) briefed the session regarding the PCEPT (Professional Competency Enhancement Program for University Teachers) Program. The purpose of this training is to equip teachers with basic teaching skills, to strengthen the communication skills of the university faculty, increasing awareness and importance of research and its practical aspects and to develop Academic Planning and Management skills of the higher education faculty. Deputy Director Learning & Innovation Division, HEC Mr. Moeen Qureshi also addressed the session and enlighten about HEC programs for faculty development.

Addressing at opening ceremony of this workshop Vice Chancellor (Acting) AWKUM Prof. Dr. Saeed Anwar appreciated HEC Programs & Initiatives regarding faculty development programs and thanked Director General LID Ms. Noor Amna Malik for their exclusive support and provision of training opportunities at universities door step to new emerging universities like AWKUM. He requested HEC authorities to organize more training programs for the faculty members so that they can be equipped with latest teaching methodologies.
